【予選1st 第13ブロックA】OTONOVA2023 - Participation Report

I am very happy that Mudia exists and supports artists of all kinds. I am glad that events such as Otonova2023 are organised, which I am participating in for the first time.

As someone for whom life would be empty without music, I am even more excited about the Otonova2023 event and looking forward to all the performers taking part.

The course of the first qualification of this block 13 A was very interesting and exciting, as we were able to witness the confrontation of participants representing different musical genres and artistic achievements. It was also noticeable that the criteria for choosing to support a particular performer varied widely: admiration for their work, familiarity with a particular performer, following the majority of people.

Congratulations to all the performers taking part in Otonova2023 for their excellent participation! It was a really exciting duel, which in this group resulted in the following outcome:

1.TëKMO+

Congratulations to TëKMO+ for winning first place 🥇 in this qualifying group and advancing to the next stage. Please continue to give your best 💪 .

Founded in 2022, TëKMO+ is a four-piece band offering sounds from the electro-pop music genre. The band's mission is to strive for a pop sound that will energise everyone when listened to. Since March 2022, the band has been thriving by releasing a monthly single and music video on their YouTube channel (@tekmo1791), which is well worth keeping an eye on.  The band's vocalist Takibi has a very warm timbre to his voice, which is beautifully harmonised with the guitar he plays while singing at the same time. Takibi is also perfectly in sync with the other three band members. The band creates songs in Japanese-English. To better illustrate the band's warm sound, below are the lyrics of their latest song 'Dancing'.

I am very curious to see how his future will turn out in the Otonova2023 competition.

2 夜が明ければ

In second place with 70 points was the band 夜が明ければ 🥈 Congratulations on advancing to the next stage! Please continue to give it your all 💪 .

Formed in November 2017, 夜が明ければ is a highly emotional three-piece guitar rock band consisting of Kento 

Sato Vocalist/guitarist, Daisuke Tanno Bassist on 17 January and Rei Endo Endoremon on keyboard. Along with the themes of 'cry, laugh' and 'live', the band wants to play music that speaks to people's hearts, flooding them with good melodies and words, hugging each person's story. 

The band has released its first single "Knife" 「ナイフ」 in January 2018. Then, focusing on live performances, by November 2018 they had released a total of three DEMO singles, all of which were sold out. In 2019, he announced his first self-produced project 'Yoake Mae', and with it released the double A-side single 'Oath / Failure'. In October 2020, he won the Grand Prix in a pop-up competition with Shinya Tada, who worked as a judge on many songs such as AKB48 and Arashi. The band also contributes to various charity events. 

Their Youtube channel (@user-ig8hv8zu4o) is well worth a visit, where we can check out MVs for their original songs and recordings of live performances.

3. Yuno

Third place along with 2 points went to Yuno, 🥉 who is a young singer and pianist. I wish Yuno all the best and that she continues on her path to fulfilling her dreams.

4. Qrack

By the decision of the audience, fourth place with no points scored went to Qrack.  Qrack comes from a musical family and is a 27-year-old talented musician. His mother loves rap and his father loves reggae music, which resulted in a great sense of style and Qrack's love of mixing. He grew up listening to Black Music. Influenced by his mother, he started writing lyrics and freestyling as early as primary school. He started performing live as early as his first year of high school in 2012. He then began to create his original songs which are a mix of rap and reggae. He is probably the only performer making music from this genre on the current Otonova2023. Currently, Qrack is out of luck, as Otonova2023 is first and foremost the voice of the audience. You can get a closer look at his work on his Youtube channel (@user-ld3jk1tp5t).

Everyone in this group proved to be very strong and intriguing, from which it was difficult to choose two performers who . I'm rooting for the winners TëKMO+ and 夜が明ければ, and I can't wait to see how they will fare in the Otonova2023 competition.
