【予選1st 第15ブロックB】OTONOVA2023 - Participation Report (the power of the personalities)

I am very happy that Mudia exists and supports artists of all kinds. I am glad that events such as Otonova2023 are organised, which I am participating in for the first time.

As someone for whom life would be empty without music, I am even more excited about the Otonova2023 event and looking forward to all the performers taking part.

The course of the first qualification of this block 15 B was very interesting and exciting, as we were able to witness the confrontation of participants representing different musical genres and artistic achievements. It was also noticeable that the criteria for choosing to support a particular performer varied widely: admiration for their work, familiarity with a particular performer, following the majority of people.

Congratulations to all the performers taking part in Otonova2023 for their excellent participation! It was a really exciting duel, which in this group resulted in the following outcome:

1. Sunny Dance Maggies

Congratulations to the band Sunny Dance Maggies for winning first place 🥇 with 6790 points in this first qualifying group and advancing to the next stage. Please continue to give your best  in the future💪 .

Sunny Dance Maggies was formed in 2019 and is a three-member band consisting of Kotaro Uda (vocals/guitar), Yu Matsumoto (Bassist) and Ryoya Kojima (Drums). The three, who attended the same high school in Gifu Prefecture, moved to Tokyo to create and distribute their music from there. They played their first live concert in 2021 and are mainly active in Tokyo. It is worth visiting their profiles on music distribution media like Youtube (@sunnydancemaggiesclips135) and Tik-Tok (@sunny_dance_maggies) to learn more about their work.

2. 須藤輝 (Teru Sudo)

In second place with 6168 points was the 須藤輝 (Teru Sudo)🥈. Congratulations on advancing to the next stage! Please continue to give it your all in the future 💪 .

Teru Sudo is a versatile young performer who was born on the first of June 2004. He has been playing classical piano since the age of 3. He has been playing trombone in a brass band since he was thirteen years old and has entered high school music school. At the age of 16 he started to learn guitar, bass and drums. In his third year of high school he changed his major to vocal music. Currently active as a singer and songwriter in the Kanto region. Self-proclaimed music revival Favourite music: Ringo Shiina, Tokyo Incidents, Aoshi Sakiyama, Ichiko Aoba, CHAI, Cornelius, Beethoven, etc. It is worth visiting his Youtube channel (@-yosei-5680) to learn more about this young artist's work.

3. EAST LAND BEATS

Third place along with 5316 points went to EAST LAND BEATS🥉,  who are the amazing male-female group. Please continue to give it your all in the future 💪 .

EAST LAND BEATS is an incredibly unique male and female vocal unit consisting of former popular YouTuber NORi, former major idol YUKIN and former elite office worker Jays. The song, which combines novelty and nostalgia, expresses a unique harmony. Below are the lyrics of their recently released song "「夢の花」" on 3 November 2022. The lyrics alone are beautiful and hit the heart, and when you add the power of these three it's even better. It is worth visiting their profiles on distribution media such as Tik-Tok (@elb_jp) and Youtube (@user-pd9pd6gi8p) to get a closer look at their work.4. 

4. ChanChanCo.

By the decision of the audience, fourth place with 3964 points went to the band ChanChanCo. Please continue to give it your all in the future 💪 .

ChanChanCo. is a unique parent-child duo that entertains the world with rock'n'roll 🎶. Ai (daughter) who is a singer who can play both guitar and keyboards decided to form a rock band with her father Hiroshi, who is also a singer. Hiroshi also plays bass and guitar. It is a beautiful relationship when a child spreads its wings in front of a parent. They create music that aims to bring the world answers to questions such as: What is life? What is humanity? What is the earth? It is worth visiting their profiles on distribution media like Youtube (@chanchanco.) and Tik-Tok (@rrchan_oyakorockstar). The dream of this beautiful duo is to go to England - I wish them to make it come true in the near future.

Everyone in this group proved to be very strong and intriguing, from which it was difficult to choose two performers who . I'm rooting for the winners the band Sunny Dance Maggies and the 須藤輝 (Teru Sudo) and I can't wait to see how they will fare in the Otonova2023 competition.
