【予選1st 第10ブロックC】OTONOVA2023 - Participation Report (the bands versus individuals)

As someone for whom music is an integral part of life, I am even more excited about the Otonova2023 competition and have been following the doings of all the performers taking part.

The course of the first qualification of this 10 C block was very interesting and exciting, as we could witness the confrontation of participants representing different musical genres and artistic achievements. It was also a competition between two original bands and two individuals performing solo.

Congratulations to all the performers taking part in the preliminaries of this block, especially ザ・ハッパーバーゲン and 1 an Dog Speaker between whom it was a decisive duel.

I agree with the opinion of other fans that it will certainly be an interesting experience for everyone taking part in Otonova. I personally look forward to seeing Yonano Suzuno and Riko again in the future. I wish they would make full use of the knowledge they have acquired here and surprise us next time with a collection of material relating to their work in social media and music distribution media.

Congratulations to ザ・ハッパーバーゲン (The Happer Bargain) for taking first place in the first round of this block 🥇 It's amazing how much evolution this band has undergone in a short period of time. From being formed in high school by vocalist Saku and guitarist Ryuki, a duo focusing their sound on acoustic guitar-style folk, they have evolved into a real band with a wide range of musicianship. Their combination of punk, rock and rock 'n' roll sounds resonates above all during their many street performances in Shinjuku. I've taken a look at some of them on Youtube (@ryuryu19981217) and it is something amazing. Street music gives you the opportunity to interact with the crowd, so please keep giving it your all so that as many people as possible can enjoy this boon of music.

Congratulations to '1 an Dog Speaker' for taking second place in the qualification of this block 🥈. For as long as I can remember I have always loved rock and remembered the song "The Day", whose lines "The Day 祝福されて産声を上げた/ 贈り物として名前を貰った / 大事だったり そうでもなかったりして / The Day 僕は何者で君は何だ / 生えかけのプライドかざしてたんだ / 大人ぶったり 子供に戻ったりして" have stayed in my memory. I would like it and the rest of the band's work to reach a wider audience. What I also liked was the harmony between Chiki on vocals (and guitar) and the other three members. I always pay attention to whether the instrumentation interferes with the vocals and I like it when they have the same level of power. I recommend everyone to visit their Youtube channel (@1andogspeaker660), where you can check out their MVs, studio recordings or recordings of live performances.

I ask that ザ・ハッパーバーゲン ( The Happer Bargain) and 1 an Dog Speaker do not relent in their efforts and give their best in the next stage of Otonova.
