【予選1st 第19ブロックA】OTONOVA2023 - Participation Report

I am very happy that Mudia exists and supports artists of all kinds. I am glad that events such as Otonova2023 are organised, which I am participating in for the first time.

As someone for whom life would be empty without music, I am even more excited about the Otonova2023 event and looking forward to all the performers taking part.

The course of the first qualification of this block 19 A was very interesting and exciting, as we were able to witness the confrontation of participants representing different musical genres and artistic achievements. It was also noticeable that the criteria for choosing to support a particular performer varied widely: admiration for their work, familiarity with a particular performer, following the majority of people.

Congratulations to all the performers taking part in Otonova2023 for their excellent participation! It was a really exciting duel, which in this group resulted in the following outcome:

1. Haru Kobayashi

Congratulations to Haru Kobayashi for winning first place 🥇 in this qualifying group and advancing to the next stage. Please continue to give your best 💪 .

Haru Kobayashi is an extraordinary artist who shows that it is possible to continue to dream despite life's various adversities.

In 2008, Haru lost his eyesight due to illness. Haru writes songs with themes of 'people', 'life' and 'encounters'. Surely there are memories in everyone's heart that want to shed tears. Haru wants his songs to be a tear trigger for the next generation of children, so that they can meet the loved ones in their hearts, and so that ten or fifty years from now, when they become adults, they can still be close to those feelings in their hearts. On 22 February 2019, Haru released his first album "素粒子". He has won many live performances at various events.  On 26 May 2022, he released his second self-titled album "Utatabi". It is well worth visiting his Youtube channel (@haru.kobayashi5966), where we can get a closer look at his extraordinary work.

I am very curious to see how his future will turn out in the Otonova2023 competition.

2 リバースレインボー ('Reverse Rainbow')

In second place with 5800 points was the band リバースレインボー。🥈 Congratulations on advancing to the next stage! Please continue to give it your all 💪 .

リバースレインボー is, as they refer to themselves, the Osaka-based storytelling and alcoholic variety band 'Reverse Rainbow', abbreviated as Geroban. The band consists of five members. On vocals are both Future and Mr. Ryosuke, on guitar Midori, on bass Amachamu and on drums Woriwori. On the third of September 2022, the band released their first music video "みんな大人になっちゃった", for which Ryosuke wrote the lyrics. The band is active in distribution media and you can get a closer look at their work on their Tik-Tok account (@gre_official2022) and Youtube channel (@user-nb8gp8yj1p).

3. Erwit

Third place along with 2150 points went to Erwit, 🥉 who is a young up-and-coming singer-songwriter with a simple but powerful, husky voice and lyrics that can sense cold and warmth. In 2020, he released his own sound source demo and started ERWIT. The following year, Kohei Kamiya joined him as a drummer and producer and has released four songs through FRIENDSHIP to date. Erwit has also provided music and theme songs for films. One of the hallmarks of his songs is that they incorporate elements of electronic music, such as electronic and ambient music, while being influenced by genres such as Americana, indie rock and indie folk. To better illustrate his work, below are the lyrics of the beautiful song ''浮遊船''.

Erwit is a wonderful young performer and it is a great pity that the public did not appreciate his work. I am rooting for his future. As well as being a great singer, Erwit is also a wonderful guitarist. It is worth visiting his Youtube channel (@erwit9324) to learn more about his work.

4. 闇夜ロクジ

By the decision of the audience, fourth place with 30 points went to 闇夜ロクジ. 

闇夜ロクジ is a multi-creator project. 闇夜ロクジis involved in songwriting and singing for distribution media like YouTube (@user-lr7yn8sv4h). 闇夜ロクジ also focuses on producing new games, and the song 'To be Me' submitted to the Otonova2023 competition was produced as the opening theme for the new game 'Losers' Heaven'.

Everyone in this group proved to be very strong and intriguing, from which it was difficult to choose two performers who . I'm rooting for the winners Haru Kobayashi and 'Reverse Rainbow', and I can't wait to see how they will fare in the Otonova2023 competition.
