OneOnceOver / a review from Finland
I discovered this talented and hard-working duo about a year ago. Actually, it was the otherway around. I was procrastinating and they managed to get my attention. I don't remember exactly where or when it happened, somewhere in the metaverse - twitter?, youtube? mudia?..maybe? But since then, I have watched their youtube livestream every tuesday (22:00JST / 13:00UTC). I have also watched several of their online shows.
I instantly could say that their songs are good. I'm on old man and I have heard quite a lot of songs so I should know, right? The melodies are captivating and stuck in my head right away.
The sound of acoustic guitar and piano is intriguing, addicting. It's like a dance. Like the guitar is chasing the piano. That kind of dance. I don't know what I'm trying to say. Hey, I don't even know the correct musical terms. If anyone can find an explanation for this, please comment below.
Their stage performance is energetic and their connection with the audience is natural and genuine. There's never a dull moment during the show. Sometimes they make me burst into laughter, sometimes shed a couple of tears.
Listening to their music and seeing their gigs, even through a screen, have helped me being more productive and creative. Uplifting and inspiring music, that's what people need in these dark days of the pandemic.
